ON

The Cuisine Congress began in 2005 as a platform for sharing among the emerging generation at the time. Today, it's the annual gathering and meeting of the national culinary community.

Edições do Gosto and INTER Magazine, in partnership with ACPP and a group of brands, organized this unprecedented event in Portugal. There was a significant evolution in the professions related to cooking and catering nationwide. There was constant debate, cooking demonstrations, and growing participation in other social activities. Music, art, crafts, and the connections between the various performers, both related and not to gastronomy, began to become increasingly evident.

ONE HEALTH - THE THEME OF THE 2025 KITCHEN CONGRESS

The next Cooking Congress will be held under the motto "One Health," alluding to the kitchen's conscious role in food production and preparation. This perspective goes beyond flavor and the culinary experience. By adopting more sustainable and conscious practices, gastronomy can contribute to human, animal, and environmental health, promoting a healthier future for all.

Causes

At the Cooking Congress, our main mission is to bring together and elevate the different stakeholders in the gastronomic community, fostering knowledge and its sharing.

In recent editions, we have highlighted various causes we share, such as mental health in the sector and after the challenges of the pandemic in the 2020 edition; sustainability and waste and gastronomy's relationship with nature in 2021; the connection between African and Portuguese cuisine and their integration in 2022; and the relationship between time and age in the kitchen in 2023. In 2024, we took on the theme of food and freedom in what was a very special year for our country.

Beyond that, we strive annually to create an inclusive program that reflects a complete Portugal.
